SOCMA's Performance Improvement AwardsSOCMA’s 2009 Performance Improvement Awards winners, sponsored by its ChemStewards® program, have been announced and plans are underway to recognize them at next month’s Annual Dinner. All of our winners have demonstrated an outstanding commitment this year to continuous improvement in environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S) practices.

Awards were given in four categories: Gold, Silver, Bronze and Educational Outreach.

Baker Hughes Incorporated in Rayne, Louisiana is the winner of the 2009 Gold Performance Improvement award for their commitment to improving the quality of life in their communities, making performance improvement a mantra within their organizations and actively involving key stakeholders in their communities.

KMCO, LP in Crosby, Texas has been awarded the Educational Outreach Award, sponsored by the Chemical Educational Foundation, for their exemplary efforts in expanding their school and community outreach efforts.
