The Center for Resilience and The Ohio BioProducts Innovation Center are pleased to announce the learning and networking event, " Waste to Profit: Economic Growth and Environmental Footprint Reduction Opportunities, Best Practices, Benefits and Barriers", May 13, 2009, in Columbus Ohio. The event is being held in conjunction with The Ohio State University Sustainability Week. Guest speakers include

  • Gale Tedhams, Director of Sustainable Communities and Green Products, Owens Corning
  • Andrew Mangan, Executive Director of US Business Council for Sustainable Development
  • Kimberly Gibson, Assistant Energy Advisor for Ohio Governor Ted Strickland

In addition, the event will feature industry panels with speakers from American Electric Power, Holcim Cement, Howard Industries, Schmack BioEnergy, and other companies involved in application of leading-edge Waste-to-Profit and “By-Product Synergy” methods and the premiere screening of a new educational video on By-Product Synergy sponsored by the Ohio EPA.
