Co-sponsored by the US Department of Homeland Security and the Chemical Sector Coordinating Council, the 2009 Chemical Sector Security Summit will be held June 29-July 1 at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, Maryland. The Summit aims to provide participants the opportunity to:

  • Obtain a better understanding of the chemical security regulations
  • Meet and interact with key Department of Homeland Security officials
  • Discuss your options for completing your Site Security Plans with experts
  • Learn what to expect from the inspections process
  • Network with your industry peers on best practices

The Summit will include general sessions on topics such as chemical facility anti-terrorism standards, government agency perspectives/issues, cybersecurity and others. There will be three concurrent workshop sessions and ongoing demonstrations covering Site Security Plans and the Voluntary Chemical Assessment Tool and TRIPwire as well.
